Winter Fine Motor Skills for 3 Year Olds

Here are some of the fun activities included in this pack!

Kids will identify the shape shown on each ‘penguin card and then use a peg to clip the matching shape. They continue to do this until they’ve covered all the cards!

You could also use counting cubes or dry erase markers to colour in the shape shown on the sides.

Fine Motor Letter Recognition Activity Cards

Kids will identify the letter shown on the ‘juggling penguin’ card, then they will clip the matching uppercase letters on the snowballs. This activity will make a great fine motor one as they look for the matching letters on each card and clip them.

Fine Motor Letter Recognition Roll and Cover Mats

Kids will roll the letter cube (template found in the printable) then cover the matching letter found on the mat. They will keep doing so until all their letters are covered. This FREE download is available in the Printable PDF Sample Pack.

Counting Number Object Mat Hot Cocoa Cards

In this fun center, the kids will identify the number shown on the card and then place that many pom poms (marshmallows) onto the card. This is such a cute and fun activity. Add some tongs to make these cards even more fine motor friendly.

You can also use any other manipulatives like counting cubes, mini erasers, counters and much more!
