Ugly Christmas Sweater Craft Name Printable for Kids

Using some high interest and fun Christmas Sweater Craft ideas is the perfect way to engage kids with forming letters and writing their names. This name writing craft is Christmas themed and perfect for November and December.

I’ve made several editable name writing freebies and activities on this blog. I love making them and creating themes around them too.

Christmas Name Craft

This editable writing names printable is great for winter or Christmas season.

I like to get the kids coloring their sheet, maybe even use qtips for dot painting and strengthening fine motor skills.

The best part about this sweater craft is that kids will get to decorate their sweater however they like!

All the pieces for the printable craft are included in the download.

Christmas Sweater Following Directions Craft

These gingerbread houses and Christmas sweater crafts not only target listening and reading comprehension skills, but they also target fine motor skills.

There’s the aspect of fun involved too when kids take a look at their well made crafts as they follow the directions carefully! These can be used with the title turkey trouble. Perfect for November!

If you want to work on following directions AND fine motor skills. This printable pack includes directions on making an Ugly Sweater using cut outs. The best part is that the students get one page to work on.

You could either say the instructions out loud OR have them follow and read the directions to create their unique sweaters.

If they do not follow the directions correctly, their sweaters won’t look right, but it’s still fun to see what they will do and how they will look.

This activity was made to work on listening and following directions!

I would then instruct them on how to form each letter in their name on the mat.

For this printable, the kids would practice two skills, writing and tracing their names, and then cutting and pasting the letters in their names in order.

Sometimes, I also get the kids to rainbow write inside each letter to create and form their letters.

I have included a prewriting activity just above to help kids develop their pencil grip skills too. They could also rainbow color those lines as they follow them from the dot onwards.
