Kids will love these fall themed Cutting with Scissors Worksheets Chewbacca Hair Strips. There are so many scissor and cutting worksheets available on the internet.
I find that I continuously need cutting sheets or cards that are easier for kids to see the lines to cut.
What are some ways to help preschoolers develop scissor skills?
Provide safety scissors: Preschoolers need scissors that are safe and easy to handle.
You can choose scissors with rounded tips and plastic blades, which will not cut hair, clothing, or skin.

These also come in black and white.
Some children are still working on holding the scissors, so it’s essential we don’t make it more difficult for them to learn how to use the scissors.
How to work on scissor skills daily
Demonstrate the proper technique:
Show children how to hold the scissors properly, with their thumb in the small hole and their fingers in the larger one.
Demonstrate how to open and close the scissors by squeezing and releasing.
Provide different materials to cut:
Provide children with a variety of materials to cut such as paper, straws, or play dough.

Scissor Skills for Kindergarten
First, I would print out the apple strips and then instruct the students that they will need to cut their apples this morning.
They will then pick a strip (again, choose the set that is easiest to begin with) and then they will follow the line to cut the strip. They continue this until all the strips are cut.
Instruct them to start at the red dots, I have mixed levels in my classes so I love incorporating different kinds of cutting strips.
