How to teach counting skills?

Counting is the process of assigning a number to items in a collection. Counting is done by using numbers, usually starting at one.

There are many ways to teach counting. One way is to use objects and ask the child to count them together with you. Another way is to use pictures and ask the child what number they think the picture represents.

Teach Counting with Star Wars Math Printables

There are a variety of ways to teach counting. One way is to use fingers and toes for the numbers 1-10.

Another way is to use objects in the environment, such as counting apples on a tree. In this case, use the Star Wars themed counting cards to help kids identify numbers on a dice and develop one-to-one correspondence.

For children who are still learning their numbers, it’s important to keep practicing counting so that they can master the skill.

It’s also important for them to learn how to count backwards from 10 so that they can have some flexibility with what they are doing with their numbers.

How to use these cards:

Print the pages and laminate them, cut out the cards. Set out the ‘character cards’ on one side and the ‘ship cards’ on the other.

Let the students choose a card and then identify the number on that card.

They will then find the matching number on the ship to complete the puzzle.
