How fun is it to get to the end of the year and have your kids all ready and excited for the next year? End of Year Graduation Ideas aren’t always readily available. When it comes to having our kids feel happy to end the year after they’ve had lots of growth and learning opportunities… Ideally, That’s the outcome we want but most of the time; we find that the kids are quite apprehensive about ending the year they’re in and moving onto a new grade level. We find this to be true across multiple grade levels.
This is essentially the apprehension of kids not knowing what to expect in the next year along with the anxiety of changing routines.

End of Year SEL Activities for Class
There are several things we can implement as teachers/parents to help our kids feel less anxious about end of year:
- Show children ways in overcoming anxiety and apprehension (ideas listed below).
- Create a memory book to have a preschool or kindergarten keepsake to reflect on.
- Start discussions about what kids will do in the coming year.
- Remember building good relationships with students and children is key – so anytime there’s apprehension about the end of school year, there will be less anxiety if students and children have a good relationship with their carers and teachers to be able to express themselves well.
