Short e sound worksheets

Teaching letter sounds is the first step to teaching reading and short vowel sounds. This can be done by having the child say and sound out each letter while looking at a corresponding picture.

It is important to remember that this is not just a one-time activity that should be completed and then forgotten about.

It should be revisited often to make sure that the child has not forgotten what they learned in earlier lessons, as well as to reinforce it.

In these printables, students will read to identify different short e words and color them in.
