    The following activities doesn’t even require any printable! You might need some materials like green paint, black paint, red paint and green paper and maybe a slice of watermelon. But generally, they are all activities you can make easily at home.

    Watermelon seeds are perfect for counting activities. You can use real watermelon seeds or make your own using black beans or small black pom-poms. Here’s how to set up a watermelon seed counting activity:

    1. Cut out a large watermelon shape from green construction paper.
    2. Cut out small circles from pink construction paper to represent watermelon slices.
    3. Glue the watermelon slices onto the green watermelon shape.
    4. Place a small bowl of watermelon seeds or black beans next to the watermelon shape.
    5. Have your preschooler count out the seeds or beans and place them on the watermelon slices.

    This activity is great for practicing counting skills and hand-eye coordination.

    Watermelon Popsicle Stick Counting

    Another fun way to practice counting is with watermelon popsicle sticks. Here’s how to set up a watermelon popsicle stick counting activity:

      You might need a black marker to write the name on the craft but other than that the materials are all included in the printable pack.

      This paper craft is a great way to work on following directions and celebrating watermelon day activities. 

      This is a great opportunity to have the kids learning to follow directions while also working on awesome watermelon activities. The kids will follow the steps on the page to cut and paste the pieces and build their craft. 

      They can add some pom pom pieces to their craft, white paint, even play dough and it’s a great idea to have them keep their names on that page.
