Vowel Sounds Writing Activity I Teach Linky

Vowel Sounds Writing: What a great way to practice vowel sounds than by using  interactive activity strips with dry erase markers?! I love these letter identification strips, not only are they colorful, bright and fun but the theme is perfect for a back to school theme! Kids get to practice their vowel sounds as well as their writing skills with this set!

I am teaming up with some awesome bloggers for a fun back to school giveaway! Make sure you head on over to all the links below to get some inspirational literacy and math ideas!

To set up the vowel sounds identification activity above, you will need:

  • scissors
  • programmed set of vowel strips (below)
  • laminator
  • set of dry erase markers

To get the students working on these, after you’ve printed and laminated the strips cut them up and place them in a pile so that the students choose one strip at a time. They sound out the pictures in each circle with the letters and then they write the beginning sound in the boxes.
