But, in reality, there are many things that you can do to make this day easier and less stressful.
For example, you can give them a tour of the building or introduce them to other students who are going through the same thing they are.

The first day of school is a time for both students and teachers to get acquainted with each other. And what better way to do that than with an activity?
Some ideas include:
-Introduce themselves to the class and share something about themselves
-Play a game where they have to answer questions about the book they are reading or the topic they are studying in class.
The student who answers the most questions correctly wins.
-Students can also play a game where they have to answer questions about their new teacher,
like “What is your favorite color?” or “What is your favorite subject?”

First day of School Handprint Template Download
Handprint art is something my kids and students LOVE to do, all you really need is some non toxic paint and some hands to complete this activity.
My all time favorite non toxic paint I like to use is this Tempera paint set which can be used by preschoolers to kinder and even first grade kids.
From everything I do lately, I try to find only non-toxic elements to use from water bottles, kitchen items to, you guessed it classroom materials.
There are just so many ingredients we do NOT want our kids exposed to if we can help it.
