Diversity bulletin board for preschool
There are so many benefits to showing kids the importance of accepting one another.
I love adding these activities during the first month of school.
It creates a great bond and a general atmosphere of acceptance.
Which you do want in your class throughout the year.
What if there’s conflict?
There will always be conflict but kids will generally feel more confident in their abilities when they have been shown love and acceptance.
Why teaching diversity matters
Teaching kids cultural acceptance is the first step in creating a more inclusive society.
It is important to teach them about different cultures, religions, and ethnicities.
This will help them accept people from different backgrounds and be less likely to discriminate against others.
The most effective way to teach children about diversity is through storytelling.
This allows for a more interactive experience for the child and teaches them about different cultures throughout the story.
Welcome back to school bulletin boards for preschool
This super cute and simple bulletin board is a perfect way to get your preschoolers painting their hands and making handprints. These would be perfect for the board but also serve as a keepsake to look back on at the end of the year.
Cut out the template letters given and then have the kids paint their hands inside the hand template – they will then cut out the hand on the dotted lines.

You can hang these underneath the statement ‘you matter’.
I also included the statement ‘our world is a family’.
Open the discussion with your students on what that means. They might have differing ideas on what it actually means.
Discuss the importance of accepting each other.
Talk about where they come from and their favorite traditional meals.
You could also have them drawing their classmate to see how close they can match it.
You this template at the end of this post.
