Shark Week SEL Craft [Clark the Shark Book Companion]

Help children learn to pause, think, and make kinder choices with this hands-on shark social-emotional learning craft! This fun Shark Week activity is a meaningful companion activity to use after reading Clark the Shark or during lessons about friendship, behaviour, and self-control.

Students sort behaviour fish into two simple spaces:

• “CHOMP! Not a Good Choice” — the shark’s giant mouth
• “Good Choices Swim Here!” — the colourful coral reef

Children cut and paste fish showing everyday choices such as sharing, waiting, using kind words, pushing, yelling, asking for help, and taking turns. The oversized shark mouth makes the lesson visual, memorable, and very hard to ignore—much like a real shark with opinions.
