Hello teacher friends!
Here in Australia we have just started our final term of school for the year. This means that we have about 10 weeks until our summer break commences. It is a fun term for us, filled with lots of exciting activities for our students to conclude their year of learning.
It is however, often a term that can be stressful and busy. I have teamed up with some online Australian blogging friends to bring you some tried and tested teacher tips that you can implement now, or begin to plan for to make this term easy to manage.
After you have read my tip, please visit the other blogs in the link up below to find more ways to cruise through Term 4. For continued ideas and time savers, don’t forget to also follow me on Facebook and Pinterest!
What is the one thing you carry with you AT ALL TIMES?
I mean — really. At all times??
The phone!
This little gem can seriously help you out in your day to day life. Not only is your phone a staple for your handbag (and a way to stay connected of course) but it is also something you can use to do ANYTHING – well almost anything haha. I now use my phone to schedule appointments, schedule assessment dates, set reminders for the morning before class, set birthday reminders, set up recipes in the notes section, I pin from my phone, I write specific daily notes that I need to remember (I’m a real shocker when it comes to memory – if I can be any cartoon character – I’d probably be that lost fish from Finding Nemo lol).
So anyway, today I will briefly discuss a wonderful staple app that I have been using and I think it’s about time I share it. I have downloaded probably a zillion different calendar apps and I found this one to be the best for teachers (well for anyone really!). I am linking up with my awesome blogging buddies from down under so be sure to go through all the links and check out some amazing tips to sail you through to the end of the year (hopefully with minimal tantrums) 😉
So, if you have an iPhone – download the app called Informant. It’s such a breeze to use and it’s incredible. You can make lists within lists (can you tell I’m a list maker? lol). Anyway, I have lists for my blog, my TPT store, my individual classes etc. If you don’t finish something, it just rolls over to the next day and it’s always there for you to check! How awesome is that??
Here’s a snapshot of what it looks like if you choose the monthly layout.
As you can see above – I have some activities scheduled. They don’t roll over until the next day and if they’re not checked off. 🙂
You can try it for free HERE and then buy it later through the in-app purchases for $4.50 I think (can’t recall exactly what the price was! But it is a small price to pay for something I use daily.
Don’t forget to check out some more tips through the links below!

Ooh! I love the sound of this Yara. I will have to try it out. Thanks for the tip.
I need to try this Yara, thanks so much for sharing 🙂 I especially like that things roll over to the next day – that is a real timesaver 🙂
Thanks Yara. I’ve had an iPhone for a year now but I’m still not using it the way I know I should… that is, as a time-saving device. I’ll definitely try this out!
I love that this has the capacity to roll over jobs not done yet.

Sounds like a fantastic app. I’ll have to check it out!
This looks like a great app! I’ll have to look in to it!
