How important is it to create an open and friendly environment for students in the classroom. How about, how important is it to create an environment where your students feel at ease to share their worries with you? We can’t do this by simply asking them, we need to guide them. By guiding them, we need resources to help us identify these potential problems they may be facing.

For the free digital version, be sure to write the names of your students into the popcorn pieces. There’s a text box inside every popcorn piece. Once you’re done, load the PowerPoint slide and have the children move the piece with their name on it to the corresponding emotion they feel that day. You could also alternatively do it from your computer and project it onto the smartboard, however I find that doing this would be a little cluttered if you’re adding names to all the students at once.

Alternatively, I found printing this page and using pegs with it also a great option. OR printing it on large A3 poster sized paper, laminating it and then adding stickers with kids names on them to identify their emotion for the day.

What better way to check in with your students than using this super fun digital slides Mood Meter poster?
