Five for Friday

Five for Friday {9.11.15}

Yay! Finally Friday! One more week and we are on spring break. 🙂

I am linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for the weekly linkup!

1. This week all the ESL teachers were catching up to their assessments and although my pile of papers didn’t look so organised. I felt more for my students who are tired of assessments and testing. This year we have a lot more testing than ever before – it’s only going to get worse. I feel for these students.

2. We have done quite a few activities this week. Here are some of the recaps! 🙂
In small groups, we worked on some activities in my social skills activity pack.
With my ESL students, we worked on adjectives and the use of have/has in sentences. This activity was a lot of fun for them. They re-arranged the paragraph in sequence and underlined all the adjectives.
Students sorted their values, then wrote about each one. This is also an activity in my social skills pack.
This is a new activity I’ve been trialing with my students for the past two weeks. They work on editing sentences. Each ten sentences work on a specific type of grammar point. I uploaded the first activity for has/have here.

3. We went with my sister baby shopping and stumbled upon an amazing warehouse with all the baby things she will need! :))

4. I have uploaded this free activity in my store for ABC order. My students absolutely loved these! Grab these on TPT here.

5. Finally, if this was your first week back to school I hope you had a good one (or should I say easy start?) 🙂

And a teacher’s absolute nightmare starts here…
