It’s that time of year again! I love it! Every year, I say I have enough resources to cover me for the season – but alas I end up making more. 🙂

What better way to practice number sense then with play dough?? My students absolutely LOVE these. I’ve got the mats all laminated and ready, all we have to do is get the play dough set up and we’re ready to go.

These mats are made specifically for kids learning number values, counting, numeral to word matching and reading all in one activity!

They are extremely easy to use, students count the trees and build the number, then they read the sentence and circle the number. They then make the corresponding number of “ornaments” with play dough to place on the tree. They trace the number and write it independently. Finally, they add the number of dough balls into the ten frames.
